Max Goren is the producer of Next Up on 99.9 The Fan. A 24-year-old sports fanatic from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Goren prides himself on his breadth of knowledge covering any and every sport he can get his hands on, but he has a particular affinity for hockey and golf.
The Fan is far from his first gig in the sports industry. Since graduating from NC State in 2022 with a degree in Sport Management, he has seen a variety of stops in his sports career: NHL broadcast operator, golf club fitter, and caddie at a major venue to name a few.
When he’s not behind a radio board, Goren also works with the Carolina Hurricanes’ Canes Crew, the in-game entertainment team that continues to make the Lenovo Center “the loudest house in the NHL.”
Outside of sports, he enjoys traveling (thanks to his flight attendant brother), listening to yacht rock, watching Big Brother, and kicking back with friends.
