The Carolina Hurricanes have advanced to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in 20 years, defeating the Montreal Canadiens in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final, 6-1 on Friday at Lenovo Center in Raleigh.
The Canes won the best-of-seven series, 4-1, earning them the Prince of Wales Trophy as the last remaining team in the Eastern Conference.
Carolina will host the Vegas Golden Knights, starting Tuesday, June 2, in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. Carolina will have home ice advantage.
