Prime Video and the National Hockey League (NHL) Wendesday announced a multi-year agreement establishing Prime Video as an exclusive local streaming home for six NHL teams, including the Carolina Hurricanes, beginning with the upcoming 2026-27 season. The deal adds to local NHL coverage already available on Prime Video.
The defending Stanley Cup Champion Canes, Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues will all be available on Prime Video for fans within each team's regional territory. The offerings provide in-market fans with an exclusive option to enjoy streams of regular-season games, inclusive of pre- and post-game shows, and additional team programming.
“We’re excited to build upon our strong relationship with the NHL and provide fans with more ways to connect with the local teams they love,” said Charlie Neiman, Head of Sports Partnerships, Prime Video. “We have firmly established Prime Video as a primary destination for sports and look forward to helping these teams broaden the reach and accessibility of their live games.”
“Given the evolving landscape of sports broadcasting, it is vital that we make sure we are meeting our fans where they are,” said Hurricanes Vice President of Communications Mike Sundheim. “Streaming is a key piece of that puzzle, and we are thrilled for the launch on Prime Video, which is readily accessible across a variety of devices. We look forward to announcing additional ways to watch our new network ahead of opening night.”
The Hurricanes Hockey Network will provide subscribers with live coverage of Hurricanes games, along with comprehensive pregame and postgame shows. On Prime Video, subscribers within the Hurricanes’ regional territory will be able to choose a monthly subscription for $19.99 or an annual pass for $99.99 to access HHN. Customers do not have to have a paid Prime subscription to access Hurricanes hockey – they will only need a free Amazon account to purchase a Hurricanes Hockey Network subscription.
