Carolina Hurricanes' team captain Jordan Staal will be out 1-to-2 months because of a tear in his calf. Carolina head coach Rod Brind'Amour shared the news with reporters Tuesday.
Staal was injured in warmups prior to Sunday's 4-1 win at the Philadelphia Flyers. Staal does not have a point in six games this season.
